In the book of Acts, the initial birthing of the church is chronicled. On the day of Pentecost, as recorded in chapter two, the Holy Spirit descends upon the believers gathered together and empowers the apostle Peter to profoundly proclaim the Gospel. This powerful and liberating message served to be the catalyst to the conversion of more than three thousand individuals into the Body of Christ. It was in this setting that the believers devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer (Acts 2:42). They shared their possessions and served one another with glad and sincere hearts as they praised God (Acts 2:45-46). Essentially, the initial church exhibited the true meaning of community life. They were SAVED TO SERVE one another.
We at the Ray of Hope Christian Church, seek to emulate the essence of life and community that the early church witnessed. We understand that the church is a community that fosters and builds community through service. In fact, God has gifted the church to prepare the people of God for works of service so that we as the body are built up, achieving unity in the faith (Ephesians 4:12-13). Our salvation is a gift from God; a gift that must not be hoarded but rather shared so that all may experience and witness the power of God in and through community. The Community Life Ministry at Ray of Hope employs this principle of service. We recognize its magnitude for the establishment, preservation, and endurance of life in the community. Moreover, it is a vital element in our process of sanctification, the continual work of the Holy Spirit that sculpts us more into the likeness of Christ. Service is a means through which we work out our soul salvation.
At the Ray, we offer over 50 ministries that are built and predicated upon serving you, an obligation we gladly fulfill in obedience to our Lord and Savior. We welcome the opportunity to serve you. So, the relevant question is not how the Ray of Hope is willing to serve you? The question is whether or not you are willing to join us in our service? Are you? Again, we welcome your service.
With the love of Christ,

Athletic Ministry
Provides an avenue for the lost to find Jesus through sports and still have a good time. We offer good spirited competition through Christian values, peace, love, joy, and Christian fellowship. In an athletic world filled with violence, mistreatment, and a “win at any cost attitude”, we are winning souls to Jesus through athletics.
Cheerleaders Ministry
The ministry is for girls ages 5–13. Our purpose is to give young girls the opportunity to have fun, enjoy life, and love themselves. At the same time, we desire to plant spiritual seeds in every child that participates in our ministry, and bring those who are unsaved to Christ. The Cheerleader Ministry will seek to provide love and support to young girls and their families, focusing on spiritual development as well as mental and physical growth. We will present God’s Word through cheerleader drills, inviting persons to Christ, while supporting the Athletic ministry.
