The City of Hope…Where Anything is Possible!
“For nothing is impossible with God” Luke 1:37
What an incredibly exciting opportunity it is to serve as the Executive Director of City of Hope Ministries, Inc. We are living in a time where people every day are having to make the choice of whether to buy food, pay rent, or buy medication. But thanks be unto God, who gives us the victory, there is a City of Hope where people will be able to come to get their housing, healthcare, and educational needs met.
Let me tell you a little about City of Hope’s genesis and mission. In 2002, Ray of Hope Christian Church established City of Hope Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)3 Georgia non-profit corporation, to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing, quality healthcare, education, and related facilities and services specifically designed to meet the needs of low to moderate income families, persons at risk, and senior citizens in DeKalb County. As a nonprofit, City of Hope is governed by a 15-member Board of Directors comprised of persons who represent every socio-economic group of the South DeKalb community it serves.
I declare unto you this day, that the Spirit of the Lord is upon City of Hope, and God has anointed City of Hope to bring good news, affordable housing, quality healthcare and education to the poor. He is sending City of Hope out to proclaim freedom for persons who are imprisoned by poverty, disease, and despair; to restore the sight of those whose hope and future have been blinded by discouragement, isolation, and marginalization; to release the oppressed from the chains of classism, ageism, racism and sexism; and to proclaim the season of the Lord’s favor upon all whose HOPE lies in Him.
I ask you to join City of Hope Ministries, Inc., its Board of Directors and staff, in fulfilling this social mandate from God. The vision for City of Hope Ministries, Inc. is awesome and ambitious. We would love to have you partner with us in the work. We are currently seeking persons to serve on the following committees: Strategic Planning, Fund Development, Audit, Housing Development, Hope Clinic, and Marketing/Media.
Yours in Hope,
Connie J. Jackson
